PATRICK HARRINGTON

Patrick Harrington is owner of BlueSky Consulting & Construction Services, LLC. Patrick is a Graduate Master Builder , Certified Green Professional and Real Estate Broker.
His homebuilding career began more than 40 years ago working for his father during summer vacations. He joined the business full-time after graduating from the University of Texas in 1976.
“My Dad was a builder and he taught me the business from the ground-up. He had many memorable quotes”, said Patrick. “My favorite is a line from Shakespeare ‘Don’t hoist yourself on your own petard’, which might be translated to ‘don’t shoot yourself in the foot’”.
Patrick has constructed dozens of custom homes and overseen countless remodels and additions. Currently, he is partnering with Interior Designer Cynthia Cannizzaro who brings her creative mind and 20+ years of remodeling and design experience.
Patrick has also helped hundreds of owner-builders successfully build their own homes since he began consulting in 2004. “It’s not rocket science” says Patrick, “but there is a process to follow and pitfalls to avoid. Owner-Builders CAN save themselves a lot of money by managing their project themselves. But without experienced guidance, they sometimes shoot themselves in the foot, making costly mistakes and blowing their budget.” Patrick enjoys consulting owner-builders through the homebuilding process and witnessing the satisfaction that comes from a successful project.
Patrick is happiest in or near water, swimming in a pool or lounging on a beach. He has been swimming competitively since grade school and continues to compete and coach in a local senior’s swimming league. There’s a quote attributed to Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps that rings true in competitive swimming, in homebuilding and in life. “Things won’t go perfect.
